[SMM EMM Daily Review: Hard to Find Low-Priced Spot Cargoes, Spot Prices Rise Slightly] The average spot price of EMM in major producing areas is 13,400-13,600 yuan/mt, up 50 yuan/mt MoM; the average FOB price is $1,880-$1,920/mt, unchanged MoM. On the supply side, EMM plants maintain a stance of refusing to budge on prices, with some holding back from selling and adopting a wait-and-see attitude. It is currently hard to find low-priced spot cargoes in the market. On the demand side, downstream buyers are cautious and adopting a wait-and-see attitude towards EMM, with weak willingness to accept higher-priced EMM. Currently, there is a tug-of-war between sellers and buyers in the market, and it is still necessary to pay attention to the actual purchasing situation of downstream steel mills for EMM.
